Welcome to Genoa

I would like to welcome everyone to the new offside home of Genoa. The rich history of the club is steeped into the Footballing and sporting community in Italy and it is an honour to write of Genoa. I look forward to sharing with you my vision of the club and the beautiful region. I will be posting a review of the club later today and follow-up with a preview of the opening match of the campaign.

As a general comment, I wish to make it known that I take pride in the written word and understand its remarkable power in society. I’ve published a great deal in my career and maintain a strong stance of responsible journalism as well as public decorum, that is all too often forgotten in the modern blogging world. In asking to provide this blog I wanted to convey not only my respect for the game within Italy and the club but equally of something that goes far beyond the pitch. With respect, I ask you to please follow the same decorum if you choose to comment. I will not allow anything I am associated with to be disrespectful in any manner and all insulting or profane comments will be deleted. The beauty of the beautiful game is how it brings us together and this blog will uphold that vow.
