New Rossoblu 1 Bologna 0, IL Grifone Takes Flight

By: Jared Obrien | November 11th, 2010

Here is a brief review of the match. After the two losses to Palermo and Inter and The sacking of Gian Piero Gasperini,We are finally back to winning ways. Here are the match stats.

Genoa Bologna
Shots (on Goal) 17(3) 6(3)
Fouls 14 17
Corner Kicks 11 3
Offsides 1 3
Time of Possession 48% 52%
Yellow Cards 1 3
Red Cards 0 0
Saves 3 2

Stats usually do not lie and they tell the full story ,But this one, lied a little, look at possession. Do not worry folks , I told his mom and dad on him.

WE DOMINATED THEM, We were all over them, like chocolate on chocolate cake. Like snow on Canada . Ok I will stop now.Genoa 1 Bologna 0, Click link for Match highlights and here were the lineups

Genoa Bologna
Eduardo Emiliano Viviano
Dario Dainelli Miguel Britos
16 Andrea Ranocchia 13 Daniele Portanova
Domenico Criscito 19 Matteo Rubin
18 Rafinha György Garics
77 Omar Milanetto 17 Ivan Radovanovic
42 Miguel Veloso 12 Albin Ekdal
Marco Rossi 15 Diego Pérez
17 Gergely Rudolf Marco Di Vaio
Luca Toni 69 Riccardo Meggiorini
20 Giandomenico Mesto 24 Antonio Buscé.

Eight minutes gone………Rudoloh with an excellent shot, that forced Viviano into  an even better save

Thirteenth minute……….. Veloso  picks up a rebound after yet another Viviano save and shoots wide

This was the theme of this game, either we shoot on target for Emiliano Do not want to see him with a really good defence infront of him Viviano to save or we  hit it wide, mostly we were hitting it wide but we were close on most occasions .On one occasion we even hit the post. Folks, when I saw that, I thought this game was heading straight to DrawsVille aka The place Bologna was happy to go, all along . But the 81st minute,  Omar scores a  wonderful goal, Toni sends a one time flick his way, and he curls a beauty pass Viv , Sorry Bologna, DrawsVille is not our kind of town. Then Like some Serie A teams whose main goal was to defend for the whole game when they go down  a goal they realise they can put the ball thingy in the net  thingy  and not just kick it into touch. They had some chances, but none were too threatening.Overall good match by us. The most important aspect was greeting back  to winning ways.Next time expect a much more indepth review

Here is a section, I want to have its entitled the GRIFONE…..it is made up of  the lion basically a man or men of the match segment , The eagle…… A moment in the match that is worthy of instant replay and the treasure which can be anything of note from underserved red card to a guy in the crowd wearing a Sampdoria jersey.

IL LEONE  Omar is the first ever lion, not just  for his wonderfully taken goal but his all round play.

millan

L’AQUILA   First ever eagle is  Toni, wonderful pass to set up Omar…..simply brilliant

IL TESORO    The treasure is the four defenders, how long has it been back four…..In my opinion, I liked it, It did not really hamper our wonderful attacking style in my opinion but what do you think……. who was your lion, your eagle …..your treasure. till next time.
