Hernán Crespo is focused
By: j | June 4th, 2009Without a doubt Hernán Crespo has sent a strong message in joining the Rossoblù as he wants to not only prove he still prove he can be a powerful force in Serie A once again but worthy of selection to the Albicelestes. In speaking to Buenos Aires based newspaper Clarìn, the former River Plate sharpshooter reiterated of the noble pride of playing for his homeland and that, “the move to Genoa gives (me) the opportunity to play with confidence and the chance of playing in my fourth World Cup.”

Alex W, thank you for visiting. While the decision on whether he gets a call from Argentina is a one matter, my point is that his focus will bode well for the Rossoblù.

Well alex, while Argentina are blessed up front, aside from Milito there is no real ‘target man’ in the team since the retirement of Batigol; Messi, Lavezzi, Tevez and Aguero are all great but none are going to score a header anytime soon (yes, I did watch last weeks Champions League final!).

Whatever else he is or isn’t, Crespo is a consummate professional. He trains well and give his all on the pitch every single time. Unfortunately for his career at Inter, his best just wasn’t good enough to fight off Ibra and Balotelli. I think he could totally do a DiVaio next season, though. I am glad that he found a good home!
